Ahead of time make up plenty of note cards with items that go together in pairs (like one note card saying BOTTLE and another one saying MILK). Have enough items so that everyone at the shower gets a card.

Then have everyone go around trying to find "their other half". This is a great game for people to get to know each other.

Suggestions:
This will obviously work best if there are an even number of guests. Also, it won't really matter if some of the items are duplicates as long as there are always pairs.
