Pin in the Rice Game

Take a package or two of tiny gold safety pins and add them to a pound of rice in a bowl. The blindfolded contestants have to feel in the bowl to pick out the pins. It's harder than you think! The one who finds the most pins wins a prize.

Suggestion:
You may want to keep a score card and set a time limit per contestant. Anywhere between 30 seconds and two minutes should work well. You can use a stronge magnet to easily remove any left-over pins from the rice.

Place dry rice and a pack of 50 to 100 safety pins in a deep bowl or dish. Get a large bowl and a large spoon. Hold bowl over guests head.

Using one hand the guest gets one chance to scoop out as many safety pins as possible. Place pins in cup and when all guest are done count the pins. The person with the most gets a gift!

Suggestion:
You might want to play this game somewhere that will be easy to vacuum. For a larger number of guests, disposable plastic water cups will be easiest. You can use a stronge magnet to easily remove any left-over pins from the rice.
