Western Baby Shower

My best friend is having a little boy, and we thought a Western shower would be perfect.

Decorations

Brown and Blue was the color scheme, with the Wild Wild West decorations from the party supply store.  Also, bunches of blue and chocolate brown balloons, and Sunflowers with blue Daisy's as the flowers.

Invitations

The invitations were printed (since we had a very large guest list) with blue and brown diamond background and cowboy boots and hats on the border.

Gifts, Favors, and Prizes

The favors are hand made Melt-and-Pour Glycerin Soaps, half blue with a brown cowboy boot on top and the other half are brown with a blue cowboy hat.  I used a Western chocolate molds for the boots and hats and made "glue" out of melted clear soap to attach them to the tops.

Food

We are having it partially catered by a local Eatery that specializes in fancy American food.  Some of the foods include : Thai BBQ Ribs, Rotisserie Chicken, Enchilada Pasta Salad and Sweet Potato Bread Pudding.  The cake has a horse theme on the top, with other fruity dessert tarts, which the mom has been craving.

Games

We are also having a Diaper Round-Up.  This means that the guests were instructed to bring a pack of diapers to "buy" a raffle ticket to win a really fine gift basket.  The gift basket has a bevy of blue and brown items, including potpourri candles, gift certificates, a bottle of wine, and even a free month at the local gym!  At the end of the party we pull a raffle ticket and she wins the prize!
